Hyundai America Shipping Agency, a leader in the Marine Container Transportation Industry, is currently looking to fill a Freight

Cashier position located in our Vancouver, BC office.

Position Title: Freight Cashier

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent math, communication, and organization skills. The position requires a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer literacy is required including MS Word and Excel; experience in the cargo shipping industry is a plus.


Daily freight cashier duties. Handling import/export freight processing. Also handles support to primary export documentation.

The duties include processing large daily volume of checks received for international freight shipments, updating account files associated with the releasing of cargo, preparing and balancing daily bank deposits, and collections.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an expanding international transportation team.


Candidate performs daily interaction with customers regarding freight and documentation issues.


Excellent computer literacy is required including MS Word and Excel. Prior experience, ability to work well under pressure, strong organizational skills, multi-tasking talents, detail oriented and good phone etiquette.

*Must have strong customer-facing skills.


High School diploma (GED) required; College degree preferred


Normal office environment uses computer, calculator, telephone, fax, copy machine, printer, and document shredder.

This job operates in a professional office environment not generally exposed to severe differences in heat or cold and having no unusual physical demands or challenges. May require occasional lifting/carrying of up to 20 pounds.
