Freight Cashier Position

FREIGHT CASHIER - RECEPTION COORDINATOR

OBJECTIVE

We are currently searching for a Freight Cashier - Reception Coordinator at our Vancouver Office. As part of the Finance team, the individual is responsible for ensuring that couriers who present themselves at reception are being taken care of without any delay and that cheques and OBLs are handled within a timely matter. The Freight Cashier Coordinator is also responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all MSC Canada clients.

Specific Tasks

Ÿ   Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

Ÿ   Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.

Ÿ   Ensuring that all import cheques are entered in “SAP” system

Ÿ   Scanning and accepting documents from clients

Ÿ   Scanning FedEx / DHL pouches going out to customers

Skills & qualifications

Ÿ   Knowledge of SAP (asset)

Ÿ   Highly detail oriented

Ÿ   Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word

Ÿ   Ability to work independently and in a fast paced, high stress environment

Ÿ   Previous experience in a similar role is an asset

Ÿ   Multitasking

Ÿ   Customer driven and focused

Ÿ   Ability to act quickly to meet demands of multiple stakeholders

Ÿ   Strong organizational skills
